The Final Four: Battle for KSSSA Glory

The KSSSA games’ round-robin stage wrapped up with four teams earning spots in the semifinals, each having demonstrated impressive performances. The teams that made it through were DagorettiLukenyaLaiser and Dr Aggrey, all of whom had shown remarkable skill and resilience in their group matches.

Dagoretti finished the round-robin stage undefeated, with a perfect record of 3-0. They dominated their pool, winning every match convincingly. Their offense was explosive, scoring a total of 95 points while allowing just 70, resulting in a +25 point differential. Dagoretti’s momentum was high, entering the semifinals on a three-game winning streak.

Lukenya also remained undefeated in pool B with a 3-0 record, but their games were much closer. Despite being outscored by their opponents (84 points allowed to 79 points scored), they had proven their ability to secure wins. Their overall point differential was -5, but they were entering the semis on a three-game win streak.

Laiser, with a 2-1 record, showed strong defensive play throughout the group stage, allowing only 51 points, the best defensive record of the four semifinalists. They scored 61 points, giving them a +10 point differential. Laiser’s one loss came against a tough opponent, but they managed to end the round-robin stage on a high note with a one-game win streak.

Dr Aggrey also finished with a 2-1 record, showing resilience in their games. Their record was a bit more balanced, with 71 points scored and 73 points conceded, resulting in a -3 point differential. Dr Aggrey had been competitive in all their games, coming off a two-game winning streak, and they showed they could play tough both at home and on the road.

With the semifinals approaching, the stage was set for a highly competitive battle as Dagoretti and Lukenya, both undefeated, would face off against Laiser and Dr Aggrey, who had both shown they could compete at the highest level. The intensity of the games was guaranteed to rise, with each team looking to claim a place in the final and ultimately the championship.
